Andrey Martynov from the city of Nadym presented his book “Yothi” in the village of Panaevsk, Yamalsky District. The book published in Russian and Nenets is bilingual.

The “Vadako” library of Panaevsk hosted the presentation attended by kindergarten pupils and students of the boarding school.

Children watched a video message by Andrey Martynov and found out some facts about the author.

Young readers enthusiastically joined the discussion of Yamal and indigenous peoples of the North, their life, mythology and traditions touched upon by the author in the book.

At the end of the meeting, the children colored copies of book illustrations. On basis of these illustrations, the library arranged a thematic exhibition devoted to the International Day of Indigenous Peoples.

The event took place within the framework of the International Decade of Indigenous Languages.
