On November 26, in honor of the Chuvash embroidery Day, an exhibition “The History of the Chuvash pattern” was held in the Efremkassinsky Rural House of Culture.
Visitors saw an exhibition of decorative and applied art. The exhibition presents products with embroidery of mounted Chuvash. Embroidery is the national pride of the Chuvash people. The rumor about bright canvases and outfits with original zigzag and geometric patterns that come from the city on the Volga has been going around the world for a long time. Natalia Yakovleva, head of the Efremkassinsky Rural House of Culture, told more about the history of the appearance of Chuvash embroidery, as well as about the difference in embroidery of upper, lower, middle-level Chuvash. The chief librarian of the Efremkassinsky rural Library, Alina Andreeva, tells about the meanings of Chuvash ornaments. And the head of the amateur art collective of the Efremkassinsky rural House of Culture, Angelika Lisina, introduced the participants of the event to the works of the masters of the Efremkassinsky rural settlement.
