Deputy Editor-in-Chief of “RUWIKI” Rustam Gataullin and Development Director Vyacheslav Umanovsky told students about the role of Internet encyclopedias in the digitalization of languages of Russia.

“RUWIKI” is a large-scale project in the field of free knowledge. The project is intended to become part of the daily life of every person to form a basic quality understanding of any subject without fear of encountering an error.

Students learned that “RUWIKI” is available in Veps (7615 articles) and Karelian (6758 articles) languages. It is an open encyclopedia that everyone can become a member of. For students of the department will be organized a meeting with the editors of “RUWIKI”, writing in Karelian and Vepsian languages.
