«Поэзия русской души»

The festival of Russian literature «Poetry of the Russian soul» took place in the Gorky library. The event, dedicated to the World Day of Poetry, was attended by students from Ryazan universities and colleges from China, Congo, Cameroon, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan. Foreign students talked about Russian poets, recited their works in Russian, which they learn as a foreign language, and in national languages. The participants stressed that poetry reflects the character and identity of a people and serves to promote intercultural dialogue. The participants talked about how the creativity of Russian poets helps them to enrich their linguistic knowledge, to get acquainted with Russian culture and its traditional values.
