IX Children’s and youth competition of readers in the Komi-Permyak language “Lovya govk” was held from February 1 to February 17, 2022. It was attended by 234 people. Winners in 5 age groups received diplomas.

The children’s and youth competition of readers of literary works in the Komi-Permyak language “Lovya govk” has been held annually since 2013. The competition is held in two stages. The qualifying round is held in educational institutions. The winners of the qualifying rounds participate in the final. The final round is held on February 17, the Day of the Komi-Permyak language. Participants in five age categories submit to the competition a work (poetry, prose, fable, fairy tale, humoresque), read by heart in the Komi-Permyak language.

Artists of the Komi-Permian National Drama Theater named after M. Gorky, teachers, writers and journalists work on the jury of the competition.

February 17 was established by the Decree of the Governor of the Perm region as the Day of the Komi-Permyak language in 2010.
