Complex scientific expedition to the Republic of Mordovia

June 19-30, 2023, a comprehensive expedition of the Institute of Language, Literature and Art named after. G. Ibragimov of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan worked in the Tatar settlements of Lyambirsky and Romodanovsky districts of the Republic of Mordovia. Scientists collected and studied materials from the spiritual and written heritage, material and traditional musical culture, and folk art of the Tatars living in the Republic of Mordovia.

The expedition included research scientists in such scientific fields as folk art, linguistics, ethnomusicology, folk crafts and crafts, archeography and epigraphy.

For information. Complex expeditions to study the spiritual and material heritage of the Tatars are carried out within the framework of the state program of the Republic of Tatarstan «Preservation of the national identity of the Tatar people». Based on the results of complex expeditions, collections from the series «From the Treasury of Scientific Expeditions» are prepared and published, scientific and popular science articles are published, and the collected materials are used in writing monographic works.

This collaborative platform was established to enable the community of the International Decade of Indigenous Languages (IDIL 2022–2032) to share events, activities, and resources. The content published on the platform is the responsibility of registered users and does not commit the Secretariat of the Decade (UNESCO) and/or the Members of the Global Task Force for Making a Decade of Action for Indigenous Languages. Please note that the platform has been inactive since February 2025 and no longer accepts new uploads.
