The Dictation in the Karelian and Vepsian languages will take place on April 20-25, 2022 in the Republic of Karelia, Tver, Vologda, and Leningrad regions. The main goal of the action is to promote Karelian and Vepsian languages, ethnic and cultural development of indigenous peoples, Finno-Ugric cooperation.

The quiz "My Speech is my Mirror" was timed to coincide with the International Mother Tongue Day and was held with the aim of developing a sustained interest in learning the Russian language.

The expert seminar was held to propose and discuss concrete initiatives to be implemented within action plans for the International Decade of Indigenous Languages at local, regional, national and international levels. The organizers set the task of informing the expert community about the priorities and goals of the International Decade, developing proposals for the implementation of the Decade’s goals at local and regional levels in the Russian Federation, exchanging best practices in the field of preservation, revitalization and digitalization of native languages of Indigenous peoples. The experts also developed proposals and recommendations, which are set out in this outcome document and sent to UNESCO, the UN Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues, the UN Expert Mechanism on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples and other interested organizations.

O encontro tem o objetivo de apresentar as diretrizes da Década Internacional das Línguas Indígenas e mobilizar o apoio das instituições responsáveis por tratar de assuntos indígenas para discussão, planejamento e organização das ações da Década das Línguas Indígenas no estado do Acre, com a construção de ações efetivas e contínuas em prol das línguas dos povos indígenas.

The session on 31 March 2022 will be dedicated to the issues related to languages and racial discrimination within the framework of the International Decade of Indigenous Languages. The session for UN Country Team is organized by OHCHR and UNESCO.

The opening event of the IDIL (2022–2032) in Latvia will take place in the Livonian National House in Mazirbe hosted by the UL Livonian Institute, Latvian National Commission for UNESCO and Livonian community. Symbolically the opening event will combine one of the most unique Livonian traditions – bird awakening – and initiatives of establishing Livonian language and culture in the digital environment. Event will be attended by high-level representatives from the Government of Latvia and UNESCO.

So this allows us the luxury of inviting on board Pacific writers who have always wanted to be published. We are encouraging writing in any preferred language of the writer.
