UNESCO is organizing a webinar on “Quality, Inclusive and equitable Open Educational Resources (OER)” on the International Day of Education. The objective of the webinar is to raise awareness and share knowledge on the OER Recommendation Action Area 3 Encouraging effective, inclusive and equitable access to quality OER and to highlight innovative and inspiring initiatives and practices at institutional or national level. The session will focus on accessibility and inclusion including multilingualism and will highlight the opening International Decade of Indigenous languages (IDIL 2022-2032) and the new Guidelines on the inclusion of learners with disabilities in open and distance learning (ODL). Each speaker will address one of these kea questions: - How can collective efforts in the development of appropriate, local, multilingual OER can drive education and information in the opening International Decade of Indigenous Languages (IDIL 2022-2032)? - How ODL and OER can be a game changer for education of PWD ? - How to enhance accessibility of OER and overcome the digital divide and connectivity issues in Francophone Africa ? The event "Presentation of the Russian-English-Nivkh audio dictionary" was the final link of the project "Symphony of Nivkh words" MBUK Noglik centralized library system. The aim of this project was to preserve the sound form of the East Sakhalin dialect of the Nivkh language. The presentation was attended by more than thirty people interested in the language and culture of the Nivkh people. The participants not only got acquainted with the application of the Russian-English-Nivkh audio dictionary, but also installed it on their mobile phones.

A series of loud readings "The Wise World of fairy tales and legends of the peoples of the North" will introduce children to the Nivkh fairy tales and legends of Vladimir Sangi, Nanai, Uyltin and Evenki fairy tales, which can be regarded as a unique cultural phenomenon.

It secures a place for artists from Indigenous communities in Mundial Montréal’s programming. It highlights the talent, presence and diversity of the many Indigenous communities across Canada and even further. The series showcases professional, export-ready artists and is accompanied by professional development activities, mentoring sessions and other targeted networking activities. This unique component of the world music industry’s professional events, initiated by Mundial Montréal, was developed to create a bridge for artists to benefit from visibility and touring opportunities in new mainstream markets.

A talk of visiting professor who has done research on teaching training methodologies for nahuatl native speakers working on revitalization project in El Salvador. Besides, we are planning to have a field trip to have an in site visit and have our students experience, first hand, the efforts being carried out in Santo Domingo de Guzman, a Nahuat speaking community.

Conversational Navajo is open to any individual who is interested in Navajo. Our Navajo language students are encouraged to attend. We also invite speakers of all levels to participate and exchange Navajo language knowledge with students. Conversational Navajo focuses on speaking the language.

"Sacred place names in Sámi landscapes" is an international conference to be held in Tromsø, Norway, 21–22 November 2019. It will focus on the under-research topic of Sámi place names and some multidisciplinary approaches to this, with a special focus on how to study sacred place names methodologically, theoretically, and with regard to ethical and political aspects of such research.

Nandiri'ba'nya: Language and Country celebrates 2019: The International Year of Indigenous Languages, raising awareness of and promoting the preservation and complexity of the hundreds of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander languages. The exhibition was curated by UTS and Western Sydney University in a creative co-design partnership between academics, artists and designers, including both settler-Australians and members of First Peoples communities. It was sponsored by the Centre of Excellence for the Dynamics of Language.
