The festival “Seven Wonders of the Finno-Ugric world”. International cultural project “Finno-Ugric mosaic”

On September 14, it was sunny, warm, crowded, fun and elegant in the Elmashevsky Family Recreation Park. The Festival Seven Wonders of the FinnoUgric World (the international cultural project FinnoUgric mosaic) has turned into a real holiday. The organizers of the event, with the support of: the Ministry of Culture of the Sverdlovsk Region and the Department of Public Relations of the Yekaterinburg City Administration, were: the Regional Public Organization National Cultural Autonomy of the Mari People of the Sverdlovsk region Ural Mari; the Municipal Autonomous Cultural Institution Elmash Cultural Center named after Glazkov Yuri Petrovich. The day sparkled with sunlight from elegant costumes, bright autumn colors, shimmered with monists, bright national ornaments, ringing voices of artists, participants of the concert program Interethnic cultural project FinnoUgric Mosaic, which was attended by creative teams and performers of the Sverdlovsk region and national cultural associations of the Sverdlovsk region (Mari, Mordvins, Udmurts, Mansi, Khanty, KomiPermyaks, etc.); as well as special guests artist of the Udmurt stage Alexander Porfiryev and Honored Worker of Culture of the Republic of Mari El Elvira Trifonova.

The guests of the festival admired the exhibition of the farmsteads of the participants of the festival We live in the Urals, took part in a game educational program (quest) for children, teenagers and the whole family on history, culture and arts and crafts, language and literature, national cuisine and costumes, customs and traditions, folk games, family values. The station (playground) of the Sverdlovsk Regional Interethnic Library was called Language, literature the soul of the people. According to the ancient tradition, the participants of the game washed their hands with fire and took out cards from the drum with questions about the beliefs, language, household and culinary traditions of the FinnoUgric peoples. Even if they could not answer the question correctly, they put interesting facts into the piggy bank of knowledge with interest. And the exhibition of literature published by various publishing houses of the FinnoUgric world attracted the attention of visitors with vivid photographs, history, description of the traditions and cuisine of the Mari, Mordvins, Udmurts, Komi and Mansi. The park‘s attractions, contests, prizes, gifts everything created an atmosphere of a bright, cheerful holiday on this beautiful September day.
