Report on the training webinar on the work with the website dedicated to the International decade of Indigenous languages

On 25 October 2022 The House of the Peoples of Russia with the support of the Federal Agency for Ethnic Affaires hosted the first training webinar on the portal dedicated to the International Decade of Indigenous Languages.
The webinar was organised by the Department for the Support and Development of Languages of the Peoples of the Russian Federation.
According to the Director of the House, Anna Polezhaeva, the House plans to hold such training and information events on a regular basis. In her greetings she also noted that The House was open to suggestions and cooperation on the launch of the new and interesting formats.
This time the event was attended by 133 representatives of executive authorities of the subjects of Russia, educational institutions and Houses of Friendship.
The main purpose of the webinar was to encourage participants to work with online platform and to provide them with instructional videos on this point.
Feride Aroniia, Acting Head of the Department for the Support and Development of Languages of the Peoples of Russia, noted that information uploaded to the platform would represent the main database for collecting information on the contribution of the Russian Federation to the preservation and development of indigenous languages that could be used by UNESCO to prepare relevant reports.
Timur Mukhamedov, Advisor to the Head of the House of the Peoples of Russia, called all the participants to actively join the work.
