The Americas Research Network (ARENET) in partnership with the Smithsonian Institution’s Recovering Voices program (RV), the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH), the COLING Project, the Experimental Humanities Collaborative Network (EHCN) and The Council of American Overseas Research Centers (CAORC), is organizing a three-day meeting focused on assessing the current state of knowledge around the use of digital technologies by Indigenous scholars for language revitalization efforts in the Americas. Our principal aim is the planning of the InDIGenius Languages and Digital Technology Fair that will be held in 2024.

The mission of the Language(s) + Museum(s) Program is to provide an international and interdisciplinary platform for museum professionals, academics, language activists, teachers, and community members to collaborate and engage with diverse cultural perspectives and curatorial practices around multivocality in museums. Our vision for the Language(s) + Museum(s) Program is to cultivate a global network that advocates for the integration of language, culture, and curatorial practices in museums.

The National Mvskoke Language Teacher’s Institute is a regular corporate body holding its authority from the government of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation (MCN). It shall be composed of all the Mvskoke language teachers of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation, and shall hold an annual session, commencing on the third week in July.

Purpose of the conference: The second edition of the General States of Local Languages aims to explore and exceed all expectations regarding the development and enhancement of local, regional and minority languages in Italy. Through a series of panels, workshops and conversations, our aim is to create an environment of exchange and learning, involving experts, activists, artists and professionals working in the field of local languages. We wish to promote awareness, understanding and the importance of local languages as a cultural heritage and a tool for identity and inclusion. Furthermore, we aim to identify new educational models, dissemination strategies and political approaches that can foster a greater diffusion and presence of local languages in institutions and in society as a whole. The conference will offer a unique opportunity to connect and collaborate for all who wish to contribute to the valorisation of local languages and build a future in which these languages are fully recognized and celebrated. Conference mode: The second edition of the States General of Local Languages will take place in a hybrid format, combining face-to-face events and online activities. This choice allows us to involve a wider audience and to overcome geographical barriers, allowing participants from different regions and countries to participate actively. During the conference, there will be panel discussions with experts and activists, interactive workshops, networking sessions and presentations of innovative projects and initiatives in the field of local languages. There will be spaces dedicated to the interaction and involvement of the public through questions, comments and contributions on social media and other online platforms. Furthermore, the program includes moments of cultural entertainment, with musical performances, readings of literary texts and projections of multimedia contents that highlight art and creativity in local languages. The conference will be accessible to all who share an interest and passion for local languages, regardless of their geographical origin or level of linguistic knowledge.

Участники мероприятия вспомнили любимые сказки Александра Сергеевича и ответили на вопросы викторины; обсудили “Повести Белкина” и повесть “Дубровский”, изученные в рамках школьной программы; познакомились с романом “Евгений Онегин” и зачитали отрывки произведения.

В 2023 году, в канун празднования 224-летия со дня рождения А.С.Пушкина специалисты Центральной библиотеки, носящей имя поэта, организовали и провели литературно-поэтический фестиваль «Пушкин в городе». Его программа была насыщенной: выступление хореографического коллектива, буккроссинг - свободный обмен книгами, конкурсы на знание биографии и творчества А.С. Пушкина для взрослых и самых маленьких, фотозона, ну и конечно же, выступление старооскольских поэтов в открытом микрофоне. Завершился фестиваль традиционным возложением цветов к памятнику Александра Сергеевича Пушкина

ребята-подростки приняли активное участие в экспресс-викторине «Мисс Литература и мистер Русский язык», которая была посвящена Пушкинскому дню России и Дню русского языка. Ребята вспомнили правила русского языка и выполнили различные задания: устранили ошибки в предложениях, превратили имена существительные в глаголы и многие другие. Конкурсные задания по русскому языку чередовались с заданиями по литературе: подростки дополняли имена литературных героев, по описанию отгадывали предметы из произведений. Библиотекари оценили работы ребят на «отлично»!

24 мая в Ивнянской детской библиотеке прошла информационная беседа «Откуда есть пошла грамота на Руси». В ходе, которой ребята узнали об истории праздника, о его значении для России, о роли просветителей Кирилла и Мефодия в создании славянской азбуки. Литературная квест-игра "Ищите Пушкина". Мероприятие приурочено к 225-ой годовщине со дня рождения великого поэта.

В центральной районной библиотеке состоялся поэтический салон «Пусть в каждом сердце Пушкин отзовётся». Юные прохоровцы примерили на себя образы героев произведений классика: прочитали строки из известных и всеми любимых стихотворений Александра Сергеевича, сыграли в настольную логическую игру «Раут с Пушкиным», позволившую почувствовать красоту, мелодику русского языка, его богатые эпические возможности, а также обогатить словарный запас.
